Stellar Reveals Why They Went for Sexy Concept [BNT Pictorial]

Stellar, who left a strong impression to the mass public with music Marionette, successfully completed its music activities with fresh and cheerful music called Sting.

The group said that it wants to disclose its various charms besides sexy attraction. It made people surprised by showing its numerous beauties like a Fairy Pitta during the pictorial with bntnews. For the first feminine concept, the members showed off their body lines, which fit each member’s style, and stood up in front of the camera with dreamy expression.



For the second cute concept, it continued the pictorial with lots of smiles by demonstrating the image of member to fool around each other and displaying the charming image. For the last concept, the group put its best effort on every single picture with tough and hot pose by wearing the intense girl crush look.

From the interview followed by the harmonious pictorial, the group calmly talked about its true feeling toward the reason why they had to perform Marionette that evaluated as a suggestive performance. It revealed, “Marionette was our last chance. There was no choice other than selecting sexy concept in order to capture the mass public’s attention.”

Moreover, Hyoeun said, “We want to break away our sexy image and show various charms such as pure and cuteness. We will find out our own color.” In addition, Gayoung said, “However, at that time, the concept was one of our very last chance. I feel sad that we were in a rush and could not continue to remain mass public’s attention because it came to us all at once” and delivered her regrettable feeling. 

We asked Stellar, who received many sexuality controversies, about the difference between sexy and sexually suggestive content. The group said, “Everyone has different standards for classifying sexy and sexually suggestive content. We didn’t only sing the sexy songs. We released two pure and dreamy songs between Marionette and Sting, but it didn’t get people’s attention.”

For the question about isn’t the group feel disappointed to only get attention for its sensational content, it said, “We are thankful for any kind of attention. We think the mass public gave us the attention once again because of our sexy image” and talked about the episode they experienced because of its sexy image.

The group said, “The broadcasting station keeps its eyes on us because of our sexy image. When we were performing Mask, we had sudden notice of changing our clothes thirty minutes before the public TV’s live broadcast because it was too erotic. Even though we received attention because of our revealing clothes, we wanted to show our various charms and abilities. It was sad that we could not do anything on the stage” and expressed its honest mind.

Stellar, whom still had the fresh girlish image, had various ideal types. Particularly, Gayoung said, “I am a fan of Park Hae Jin. I used to go to the same beauty salon with him, but I couldn’t even look at him through the mirror. I feel so regretful not to say hi to him.” Hyoeun said, “ Age difference doesn’t really matter to me. My ideal type is a person who has cute smiling eyes like a puppy.”

Moreover, Minhee, who is known as GFRIEND Yerin’s mom because of their great friendship, brightly said, “I am a good friend with GFRIEND Yerin. We have a close relationship like sisters.” When we asked her future plan, she said, “A group that its future is expected by people. I think, to be expected by someone is a good thing.”

Gayoung said, “I had a strong image as a Gukak (Korean classical music) high school girl, but now when I say that I am a Gukak high school girl, many people get surprised by saying, ‘That girl was Gayoung?’. I am thankful with a modifier ‘Gukak high school girl’ in all times. However, I shouldn’t stick in that one thing. I should put my very best effort in the future.”

Hyoeun said, “I want to work with Yoo Seung Woo as a duet. I want to draw a melody with him, who has a sweet voice. Also, I will do my best to hear things like ‘They can do well because it’s Stellar’, ‘Never thought they had this kind of image’ and help people to discover new things from us.” Junyool showed her eyes full of passion and said, “I want to become a singer who is recognized by its ability.”
